Someone's set up access to a server in Beijing which lets you check
whether a given site (basic memetic translation; "your site") falls under
China's recent Web restrictions. Interestingly careless that
www2.google.com still seems accessible,
at least for now, although - as with the clever proxy solutions - most users aren't going to know about it.
And there was me writing off the 'national firewall' idea as a nice but unrealistic political allegory, in The Stars' Tennis Balls. [via Tom]
