Talk:The Taladas Debate Page

I don't know what'd be the best way to divide things up, but given that MediaWiki has these "discussion" pages for each article, maybe it'd be more useful to have the article page containing agreed details about whatever we're talking about, and the discussion page having all the back-and-forth discussion.

We should also be taking advantage of MediaWiki's "signature" feature - if you type "--~~~~" at the end of a post (or just press the "add signature" button above the edit window; the squiggly line second from the right), then it'll automatically add your name and the exact timestamp of your comment. Which will make it easier to distinguish ongoing conversations from ancient archived ones...

And we've also got headers and indents and things, which will make discussion threads clearer. Standard MediaWiki talk usage is to indent responses with ":" at the start of the paragraph, so we can see who's responding to what. --Kevan 12:18, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

Yes, I had been wondering if the debate pages still served much use now that we have the discussion pages. Most of what we have talked about here could just have well been on the discussion page of The Taladas Rules Page.
Nevertheless, we have it now, so we might as well make use of it. WE can still use it for things that aren't directly related to the house rules we use - such as whether or not to switch to the 3e rules. We can also use it as a place to put up ideas about what our characters want to do. In Schallat's case that could mean start his own city north of Waltdorf where the faithful can come and worship free from unwanted influences and strictures. Andy 14:08, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
