Upward copier behavior

The upward copiers don't work quite the same way as the downward copiers.
Here's an example: kusonyd
Their behavior seems a little unintuitive to me, is it intentional?

I see what you're saying.  One way to look at is is gravity.  Pieces below cargo pack precidence over pieces above.  The old physics model lets you use copiers the way you want to.
