Mysteries of the 21st century, x in a series of x+1 -
Go! Go! Beckham!,
a faux-Japanese Gameboy platform game, the titular hero knocking cartoon
monsters over with his poorly-physicked ball skills. Taking a simple kiddies' platform
game and making it into a realistically three-dimensional experience is one
thing - this is a needless and baffling counterpoint.

Insaniquarium -
an inspired combination of Tamagotchi-style pet-management, soothing fishtank visuals and marauding space monsters. Hatch bonus creatures from freshly-purchased eggs (guppy faeces being solid gold), and your
aquarium gradually begins to look after itself, the new denizens taking
over some of the boring management aspects for you. A satisfying chunk
of cartoon ecosystem.

| Aha. T9 predictive text
input does allow you to select words other than the one it
insists upon, by tapping at 'zero'. I didn't know this, or if I did then I'd
forgotten. No longer will I text impetuously about shaking people up when they miss a cup.
