Mysteries of the 21st century - a tank-sized Toyota Lucida parked in its
usual space on a suburban high street, bearing a cheap
sloganistic excuse for its own existence on the passenger door:
"I love to have fun. I love my family and friends. I love this
beautiful planet earth. The reason why I choose this car is because it
will totally satisfy my requirements for outdoor living. Well...
tomorrow, where shall we go?"
Which feels like a smug pre-emptive strike against anti-SUV car stickers, and
I could maybe go with a campaign of hand-written, windscreen-stuck
justification-discs along these lines, but this is all the more
enraging for its floaty, selfish vagueness.
