An interchange is simply a station where it is possible to switch from one line to another. They are marked on the map with a white circle outlined in black. Timed correctly, a move via an interchange allows a player to change lines during a move without loss of line velocity.

Stations which are both interchanges and termini are some of the most powerful stations in the game. All players should know these stations by heart. However, note that which stations actually count as interchanges varies from one map to another, and from one ruleset to another. Advanced players may exploit the ghost and foetal station rules to take advantage of these variations.
