Cloistering is a (mostly) defensive play, triggered in the Northern League or Trappist version by a move to Kensal Rise. Its effect is to approximately double the defensive value of holy stations, but against this must be balanced the conflicting requirement that because Kensal Rise is a high station a high line velocity is required to reach it.
