Ecclesiastical Mornington Crescent, pub. 1865, which he wrote while living as a vicar in rural Derbyshire.
It is a concordance of the Bible, which interprets the good book as a description of an extended solo game of Mornington Crescent, played by God.
Nothing much else is known about the man, and the name is generally supposed to be a pseudonym.
