Highgate is a
high station which is subject to some special rules similar in effect to the
North End Rules. This is because Highgate (High Level) is considered a
foetal station. LU roundels were erected there even though no underground train has ever used that part of the station. Thus in Highgate we have a station
part of which has 'permanent' foetal status. Under some circumstances this can depress the station's token values, while on other occasions the values may be increased. See the entries on foetal stations and the North End Rule (and also
