The once thriving Waterloo and City line was built by infuriated fools as an attempt to debase the entire game by connecting every station with every other. This was put to an end in 1887, when Messrs Onslow, Grumley and Thorp (all MC playing MPs) banned the Waterloo and City company, and demolished all lines they had built. Hence there is just one part of this line left (from Bank to Waterloo, or vice versa). As further punishment, it is always printed in a sickly green colour on tube maps.
