The three common
zone boundaries correspond to the LU zones on tickets. Play entirely within a zone ('intra-zone') need not necessarily conform to the rules affecting other zones. Moving from one zone to another ('inter-zone') must be legal under all the rules affecting all the zones passed through. Faulting a line cannot be done outside a zone boundary.
